Hi Everyone
I received an sms from JM Attorneys advising me that I will be blacklisted for a debt of R3051.54 for Health & Racquet Club. I have referred this to a lawyer friend of mine who has confirmed that I owe them nothing. I have settled any outstanding monies owing to them when they were first liquidated (I have all the documentation to support that) and the prescription period has expired. On legal advice, I will be reporting them to the Law Society, Carte Blanche and any other consumer watchdog. I will also be sending my payment documentation to Trans Union for their records, so that I can dispute any action. I requested proof that this debt is outstanding from Thembeka and I also wanted proof they had made a reasonable attempt to contact me to advise me of this (since liquidation)- and they were uncoperative. Please beware of these okes... I will certainly be taking this matter further.
