Attorneys not responding

My mother approached the law firm of A Batchelor and Associates regarding a case of Medical Negligence which involved her going for unnecessary operations, causing her to be put off work indefinitely.
Besides going through the trauma of being used as a guinea pig by the doctors, she spent months trying to recover and even suffered complications afterwards.
She approached the law firm hoping they could assist her in her fight with the doctors who depleted her medical aid for that year. The law firm agreed to representing her and accepted a once off fee of over R1000.00 to start the investigation. The contract was drawn up that they would investigate on the 29th Feb 2012.
We have requested feedback, numerous times, from the law firm. Every time my mom called them, they would not be available. I emailed the firm in October and was contacted by [Email Removed] who then agreed that she would provide us with an update to the claim at least once a month. It is now December and they are not replying to my emails nor are they attending to any of our calls.

We understand that the claim will take a while to draw to a conclusion. All we ask is for an update as was agreed.
