I had also contacted e-divorce to get a speedy uncontested divorce. Absolutely nothing they said or supplied helped us in getting our divorce done. If anything it cost me in time and money. I am not sure how I can recover my money from them.
We paid R 950 to get the following:-
A set of documents with mistakes on it and sending a mail to have it corrected produced nothing.
A set of documents two courts in the country turned down in favour of their own documents
Information about which court we needed to go to which was wrong and resulted in another two month delay in getting the divorce done.
After getting to the correct court, the documents were again turned down in favour of the courts own documents.
In conclusion:-
If I had phoned any court I would have been told which court to go to. ( save two months of waiting)
Both courts were very helpful in getting the documents completed, which cost nothing (e-divorce charged R 950)
The Sheriff fee was R 150 (the only thing e-divorce had right)
Don't waste time with e-divorce. If your divorce is uncontested you can do it for R 150.
