Divorce claim takes over 6 months to finalise

Politics & Government

My Aunt handed in a divorce claim at the GEPF early in January 2013. She was assured that her claim will be finalized within 3 months.
We emailed them on 4 June, and only received a generic response on 10 August. In between I phoned several times to inquire as to the development regarding my Aunt's claim. Every time I was informed that the claim is still "in process"
My Aunt returned to the GEPF Offices on 5 August, where she was informed for the first time that her divorce settlement and court order are still outstanding. She handed in the documents the same day, and was again assured she would wait no longer than 4 weeks, and that she would also receive updates via telephone.
Tomorrow 23 August is my Aunt's third week waiting still with no phone call or feedback. I sent them an email again on 19 August and have yet to receive any response.
