I work for a medical doctor and often have to deal with medical aids to obtain hospital authorization for our patients. I called Motohealth medical aid this morning to obtain authorization and was informed by the person that they need certain medical information before authorization can be approved. I was also informed that I should call back within an hour to ensure that they have received the fax. I called back three hours later and a Zanele answered the telephone. I supplied her with the patients medical aid nr and asked her to check that they have received it. She says, without even typing the information into their system or checking the faxes, that they havent received it. I put the phone down and redailed the medical aid and spoke to a different consultant, and she was immediately able to assist me and provide me with an authorization number.
