SPECTRA-MED BILLING AFTER POLICY BEING CANCELLED

I would like to bring to your notice that I am still being Debited after my cancellation letter was sent in to Spectramed and a full month's notice was given. I received an email advising me that I still owe one month's premium when in fact I don't. I cancelled my Medical Aid effective 28 Frbruary 2013. I was still covered for February 2013. I have never defaulted I have all my receipts to show that I am fully up to date with my payments. When I questioned this I was told that I was being billed in arrears- I ask you why was I being billed in arrears??? The Broker never showed me an application form, the application was done verbally, I never saw anything in writing, all the Broker gave me was a brochure from which I chose my Medical aid plan and that that was it!!! I was misinformed on many aspects thus my reason to cancel my M/Aid with Spectramed.
I am so disappointed with Specramed as they, inspite of apologising on behalf of their Broker, STILL demand payment from me- my next step is to report Spectramed to the Ombudsman. I have come to Hello Peter, so that other clients may be warned and insist on a copy of their application, which I never received. Very Very disgusted!!!
