Pathetic service

Called discovery at 9:55 to get an ambulance to my home as my mum fell very ill was told to contact ER24 as they are the ambulance that is contracted to discovery. Call them at 9:56 and the call agent logged it and sead he would call back and give an ETA. 10:35 I call back only to be told that the ambulance is in durban CBD and connot give an ETA. Then I'm told that it is comming from hillcrest and would take 15minutes. I then asked to speak to the supervisor and SHANTI VAN HEERDUN came on the phone and sead she would call me back which she never did. I get a call from shane at er24 at 10:47 saying it would take another 10minutes for the ambulance to get there. I then called discovery and asked to speak to the team leader and was finally put trough to a naseem ebrahim who was trying to look for excuses to shy away discovery from the problem by telling me that I can use any ambulance and not only er24. I then told him that if the call agent didn't tell me this how am I to dream this and then I asked him to try and get an ambulance over only to be told that I must do that myself. Its so sad that discovery plays with peoples lives is this manner and to think that paying for a service.
