Never set foot there again!!

I brought my 8yr old son, who was suffering from pain through to Wilgeheuwel hospital around 2am on 14 March 2013 and went to the ER room. I was greeted by the receptionist who took my medical aid card and ID and stated that although it is a private practise, they do submit to Polmed however I will probably have a small co-payment of about R150, which I said was fine. I then spoke to the Doctor and explained my son suffered from colon problems and in Jan had a blocked colon and was on treatment and new diet and I fear the problem has reoccurred. Despite me explaining the problem, Dr Nkosi stated she wasn't worried about the colon and merely prescribed Rehydrate and Buscopan and sent us home... with my child still bent over in pain. Why was X-rays not taken to determine if the colon is blocked again? Leaving dissatisfied, this is further worsened by the receptionist telling me I ad to pay the FULL consultation plus emergency fee and after hour fee in cash totalling R700... what happened to 'we do submit to Polmed and you will only have a R150 pay in'? Total incompetence - Wilgeheuwel will never see me again!
