I took this cover in 09/2012 for me & my son with the hope i could have medical insurance. It was a telephonic contract that promised that i will have benefits such as Dr's visits, pathological tests, optometry, dental and pharmacy services (at any pharmacy). But to my rude surprise when i went to an optometrist in 12/2012 i was told of a 12 month waiting period& couldn't consult. In 01/2013 i consulted a GP, upon fetching my prescription at Dischem i was told they are not recognised and should pay for medication myself. That was R248.89 i didn't budget for. I've been trying to contact their call centre to get an explanation but since 25/01/13 all i get is an automated answering machine. I tried 0861113513 and 0115489522.In January they debited R405.00 instead of R335.00 which i also need to query, but cannot get through to their offices/call centre
I'm currently unhappy with Day 1 Healthy (Affirnity Health), i need answers & my refunds.
