Heart Attack with no help???

Health & Medicine

On the 28 November my Dad experienced a severe heart attack. What transpired, is that during the course of the day he had discomfort in his chest area and on inspection by his pvt doctor (in Stanger), the doctor admitted him to the Umhlanga hospital for urgent assistance. On arrival he was admitted but UNFORTUNATELY it took 16 hours before a doctor could attend to him! But the doctor did not show up? At that stage we the decided to not sit around and wait for any assistance and made a request to transfer him to another hospital. He experienced, as per doctor (a 98% heart attack), and had multiple attacks while in your hospital.. Due to the nature of this emergency I would ASSUME that this would be high a priority. According to you this is a pvt hospital with world class staff... is this true??? From our experience I am sadden to mention this service is pathetic and totally unacceptable!!! We pay for medical attention, NOT EXPECTING FREEBIES, yet for us to get attention, was near to impossible. Due to the Almighty, he is alive and is healthy today, and not because Umhlanga helped. I expect a full apology to my father and report on what transpired.
