Room not ready and aggressive manager - Stay away

Me and my family (9 month old baby included) arrived at Coniston Guesthouse after driving from Jhb for our halfway overnight stop. The manager notified me on the spot that our room is being tiled and the bathroom will only be ready the next day. Funny that he did not mention anything when I spoke to him over the phone the day before as well as the morning before our arrival. When asked why he did not let us know earlier, he said he was instructed not to.
We asked for a refund, as we could not use the room in the state it was in. The manager (Giles) then proceeded to get aggressive with me and my wife in front of our baby and chased us out of the guest house. Not sure how this business manage to keep their doors open. I have never been treated so badly and to top it all I had to deal with the manager being aggressive towards my wife and child. We were stranded, as no other accommodation was available and forced to continue our journey to Cape Town.
This was the worst nightmare I could imagine for our trip, that came true. If anyone ever thinks of staying over at this establishment, spare yourself the misery and rather go elsewhere. Hope their doors close soon!!!
