Waste of time, lying, false advertising

Health & Medicine

I tried to get an appointment for myself and my two kids, after waiting for - 3 months I finally had my appointment on Friday the 6th December. When I wanted to make the appointement 3 months ago on a Saturday, I was told by Spec Savers that if i come in on a week day (certain days and times), my kids will be free as they are running a special. After my long wait, and after having the appointment on Friday, I know needed to choose glasses for my kids, when I was shown the frames, I was told that they do not have the kids frames that come with the promotion and I need to select from the current frames which were ranging from R700 to R2000, and that I will need to now carry the cost of these frames as the stock hasn't arrived for months. They have wasted all this time of mine, and now my kids and I still do not have any glasses. Why is this not told before you fill in all there docs, and go for the eye tests. Now I have used up our limit of eye testing and have no glasses. I think this is just a of attracting customers when they clearly know that they cannot deliver.
