Lion's Rest Game Lodge
Don't be fooled! Not even a 1-star rating!!

6 of us booked accommodation at Lion's Rest Game Lodge, Tweeling based on the information we saw on the establishment's website and on other travel websites (not listed on TripAdvisor). What we got was nothing like the web pictures and definitely not 3-star!
The service staff - Maria and Priska - did their best to be hospitable and were always obliging and friendly. Sadly, they have been left to their own devices by owners who are very happy to take peoples money but cannot be bothered about the state of their property.
Our rooms were dusty and dirty. We had broken ceiling boards. Window safety latches were broken. Exposed electrical socket with its wires hanging out adjacent to our bath tub. No soaps in the bathrooms. 2 of the 3 rooms had no hot water on the 1st morning after arrival. 1 room had birds nesting and defecating inside it so our friends had to vacate it at dawn. Family Room had no furniture available to unpack any clothes. Grounds are dirty and full of chicken feathers flying around. Pool dirty, jacuzzi dirty, Junglegym had holes & sharp broken planks hanging loose (we have a 2yr old). "Spa"= 1 room with Maria as the only 'therapist'.
Waste of money! False advertising!
