I'm being handed over for nearly R9000.00!!!
How the?!
Medical aid is a prepaid service, how do you get a bill like that for member fees?
First things first - Remember that you can't claim for how ever long when you join a medical scheme...
Stay away people, this bit of info only comes when you are not satisfied with their service.
My contibutions are over R2500.00 per month for 2 people.
First incedent - I was asked to write a letter to have pair of glasses paid for from my savings account as my option only allowed under R200.00 for glasses. Needless to say, I never wrote the letter and paid it myself.
I phone to see if there are funds available to go for a yearly cancer checkup...
I was told not to worry, I am covered.
After going for the checkup, I started getting doctor's bills, which I am now already being sued for because Medihelp rejected it
We are talking about specialist fees here, they don't come cheap...
Medihelp decided to pay my glasses that I had already paid for without my consent!!!
Why pay medical aid R30000.00 per year, when all your claims come from a R5000.00 savings plan???
Acc dept told me "That's the system, you just have to pay"
