Mabalingwe Nature Reserve
WHEELCHAIR ACCOMMODATION BOOKED, NO REFUND RECEIVE

We have made and paid for a reservation for a WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY unit at Mabalingwe resort for a weekend in April 2008. Reservfation 7428. Upon arrival we found that there were several steps to the entrance of the unit and also that my husband would not even be able to get into the bathroom with the wheelchair. The resort was fully booked and the staff were very apologetic, and told us that we could have another weekend at chalet number 34 on any other weekend PLUS a FREE GAME DRIVE or our money back. We said we would prefer another weekend. We have tried various times to make another booking but in the menatime we were in an armed, we have moved etc - and the new management now says that we have to send proof of payment first. I am very sorry that we did not just get our money back immediately and went to the newspapers as we have confirmed with them on various occassions that my husband is a PARAPLEGIC. Since the staff were really very apologetic and did everything inh their power to assist us that day, we felt that we would rather go back. Unfortunately the management seem not to care at all. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO HONOR THEIR WORD AND GIVE US WHAT THEY PROMISED
