Netcare
8 weeks premature with no treatment

Health & Medicine

8 Weeks old, 8 weeks premature, will not be admitted to the neonatal ICU at Krugersdorp hospital as "they need to keep a bed open in case". Three days of the following
We are currently in the children's ward with NO CARE FROM THE STAFF IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM... They do not have any training at all to care for a prem baby nor the correct equipment, I quote a night sister: "This is the smallest baby I've seen in here". No bedding, or bed for that matter, is available in the children's ward. He has no breathing/heart rate monitor, not a working one in any event and as soon as he cries or niggles slightly they, the sisters, close the door and walk away or try to force, once anyway, panado down his throat which he immediately vomited up and has been vomiting since then.
Two "hospital managers", I use the term very loosely, have been told of the issues we're having and both have said "he is not in the correct place and they will make a plan", only to come back and tell us to deal with it.
Well deal with this. You have officially denied my child proper care, we have proper medical aid and were authorized with no problems or issues in minutes yet the "managers", fail to see the dange
