We have a membership for one year with hotel express but it expires on the 9th of this year and we had no plan to renew it. Yvonne Dume of your cape town branch called and tells us that our card is ready and the debit of R1600 is to go off. We didnt ask for the membership to be renewed and asked her to cancel it. she says we cannot cancel as the card is ready. how does that make any sense? we did not ask for a renewal neither did we give permission for the debit order. she had such a bad atitude and basically told us that we have no choice. I told her are no funds in that account and she said its fine. I asked to speak to her manager, she said she is the manager. I then asked to speak to her manager and that I was going to hello peter this and contact the ombudsman and your head office, she siad I must go ahead and put down the phone. A customer care manager puts down the phone on a client? with consumer act u cant force a client to take a product. i want this membership cancelled and more important I want an apology from this woman or I am going to the ombudsman! If that debit goes returned on my profile, I will take you to the cleaners! Im awaiting feedback from Leeann by 12pm tmw.
