I contacted a Discovery Vitality Supervisors regarding my inability to attend my local Virgin Active Gym for the required amount of times this month.
I explained to the supervisor that due to a weak health state & after a month of severe stomach problems, I would not be able to complete the requires visits to the Gym.
Prior to my conversation with the supervisor I spoke to a consultant that proceeded to confirm that no matter my health state I would still have to go to the Gym!
This is unacceptable. If Discovery Vitality really cares for their customers health, how is it remotely possible that they force their clients to attend gym when in a bad health state?
I proceeded to inform the supervisor that after going to the doctor he had given me medication for the next 2 weeks & for the time being I could not do any exercise. I offered to send her an email from Discovery Health confirming my visit to the Dr. and another email confirm the medication I was taking.
She said this wouldn't do and that I needed to go to the doctor again to get a Dr. Note informing that I cannot do any exercise.
A complete lack of common sense and narrow vision from Vitality.
