I phoned CAMAF in March 2013 and asked the requirements for become a member of the medical aid.
The person told me with i am a trainee accountant at SAICA then i can join. Last week a emailed my information and Timothy Fynn replied. I asked him if the information was correct before i send the originals by post. Got no reply back after i told him there is no point in me posting the information paying money just so that they can say they need something else. the following day still didn't hear anything so i phoned them i spoke the consultant ran through what i need to send and i posted it that same day counter to door R 136.00 (which may not sound like a lot but it is for me). This morning I got an email saying that i can't be part of the medical aid. So I lost my money, I lost my time i had to take of at work to post the documents and now i have to get a different medical with less than 15 days left of the month. All they can say is i can't be a part of CAMAF. Praxedes Boyd is the one that send me the decline letter i reply stating that i am a SAICA clerk (as was first said that i will qualify) He still hasn't responded.
