Damage to my car at motorised gate at entrance

On Saturday the 25th of May at 3 pm, i attended a friend's wedding at the venue. Whilst entering the entrance i turned in at an angel as i am aware that my car is low, but not to the extent that it would touch the railing the gate runs on. Just as i turned in i heard a ripping noise and when i got out to check the end of the railing had pushed back the platform you use when jacking up the car. the entire platform is no lodged into the body of the car and you can see it from the outside, and looks even worse from below. I spoke to Charmaine who at first was quite empathetic and even said they will see what they can do. Then gave her c chance until the end of the evening, so when i enquired about whats to happen to my car, i was met with the "Parking is at your own risk", furious i walked away and told her it's unacceptable. My wife not been impressed confronted her in her office, she then re-enquired about the incident, and advised Charmaine that there's NO SIGN stating it's at the car owners' own risk. Charmaine then changed her tuen and stated they cant take liablility for the way the driver drives the car. They have my details, which is supposed to handed to the venue owner!?
