I stayed at Chatsmed from 18/07/2012 to 21/07/2012. My doctor discharged me 11.30 on 21/07, the hospital processed the discharge at 12.50 and due to the time being after 12 they are billing me for the second half of the day. My medical aid has rejected the claim. I have been with POLMED medical scheme for 30 years and I have stayed at Chatsmed several times and I am familiar with the terms and I left the ward before 12 knowing I would be billed if not. Upon receiving the bill, I immediately approached Chatsmed to resolve the matter and I spoke to Adelle. She advised she would speak to the nurse on duty and get back to me, and perhaps I was occupying the bed, which I advised her I was not. She never got back to me. I received another bill and approached the hospital again and spoke to Adelle again, and she then said maybe I was waiting for medication, which I advised her was not the case as I did not collect any medication that day. She was to check with the chemist to verify this and get back to me, and I never heard from her. I spoke to Penny Jan 2013, she was to get Adelle to contact me. Now I am being harassed by attorneys. Please help resolve this matter immediately.
