Plastic found in meal nothing done to compensate

We had lunch@The Radisson Hotel yesterday. There was a large piece of plastic in the lamb flatbread that my friend ordered. We brought it to the attention of the waiter&the manager came over&apologised. We were offered no sort of compensation other than a free coffee or cappucino if we so wished. Neither of us felt like a coffee. Nothing else was offered. When the bill came we were charged full price for the meal. I was absolutely shocked but did not want to cause a scene&make my friend feel uncomfortable. I was taking her to lunch. I went to the hotel manager on my own&explained my story. She took my number but I have heard nothing from them. I think this is appalling treatment from a 5* establishment. It should not be the customers duty to tell hospitality HOW to be hospitable. The customer should not have to FIGHT for good service/compensation for poor food quality; especially at a 5* hotel: it should be offered to the customer. I am most disappointed&will not support the hotel again. Just the other week I found a hair in my food at Hudsons Burger joint&management gave us the entire meal& drinks on the house without us causing any fuss whatsoever. Shame on you Radisson chasing tourists away!
