NOT SUITABLE FOR ACTIVE CHILDREN OVER 5!

My husband searched under JOZI KIDS for a child-friendly, outdoors place where we could enjoy a lunch with our children (we have 3 active sons) and the Grandparents as well.
Blanford Manor came up: pictures of a large open garden, willow trees etc. appealed to us
We arrived and our boys alighted from the car with soccer ball in hand. The car guard immediately said "You are not allowed any here! " We should have left then - but decide to persevere.
Aside from walking, children are banned from so much else: they are not even allowed to cross the bridge to another area of the garden unless "accompanied by an adult". Upon query, the lady (in charge?) said "it's because we cannot see what they're doing! "
They're not allowed to feed the ducks and animals, not allowed to play even with a small ball (we had one of those as well) and the final insult was when my 6 year old (who probably weighs all of 20 kg's) decided to swing on a low branch capable of taking his weight. Then a man rushed out and admonished him for swinging!!? Also NO tree-climbing allowed!
You may however take photo's of the garden - "but get permission first"???
