No spares for Fridge Freeze

The PC board for our Fridge Freezer Model GR-A207WLB was damaged by Eskom power surge. On applying for a replacement, LG order Ref 873-02 for the PC board (JR1045V) I am informed that LG is not able to supply, the parts are on back order and LG cannot tell me when a part will become available.
We have now been without a fridge for just on three weeks and still no indication of when the part will become available.
As to a request for a Loan fridge or a part from another one in stock until the part arrives, the response is just that is not LG policy?
On discussion with LG, Isando the response is, well that is the way it is. There is no customer feedback, we have to continuously phone for follow-up. On request to escalate the problem there is not means of escalation on the web site or from the branched or customer service?
It appears to me that the LG policy is sell units and customer service is not in their vocabulary?
