Untrustworthy & doesn't follow through on commitme

I made the mistake of not reading the HelloPeter complaints about J4 Security, and specifically Elton James (even though he proactively started defending himself against them) when I contracted J4 to perform an urgent alarm upgrade before I rented out my property, and went overseas.

Elton arrived in his snazzy BMW; was a consummate salesman, relating to family experiences and the like and assured me he could meet my requirements and deadline.

After he failed to arrive when promised, I followed up. He then committed to be on site the next day. I had a frustrated verbal confrontation when he showed up without a technician. He walked away, claiming I was swearing directly at him (I admit to saying "What he f! "), and he committed to refunding my 50% deposit immediately - which I have in writing. When I last managed to track him down on the phone (he is now seemingly avoiding all my numbers as I can't reach him), he committed to settling within "one hour" (when I made him aware there were others on the line to hear him) but it's a week later and still nothing.

I strongly caution when dealing with this entity!! I am now proceeding with small claims court action due to the above.
