Brand new tablet not working

I am a huge Samsung fan but not anymore. I bought a samsung tablet 10' 1 through vodacom but from the start it was giving issues. The screen frozes, and if I use the camera it makes stripes and restarts again. It was a christmas present for my wife but could not use it once. I expect a new tablet as it was bougt the 05 Dec but only used for the first time on the 25 Dec giving issues from the start. Vodacom os trying to repair it but have not heard anything back yet and that is more than a week ago.
