Quality is shocking

My samsung s4 is a month old and I dropped it 2cm off the ground and now it is cracked. How can a phone that costs over 8000.00 screen break in a month.. not to mention I purchased your screen cover too as you state it protects your screen however that failed too.. I phoned samsung now and they simply say oh sorry you must replace it.. I thought samsung had better quality than a month
