Vertuoso Fridge

We have had a Vertuoso fridge for some years now, a great fridge, however after, I guess, five years the thermostat controller seems to have packed up. A quote received for replacement PC Board is R 4850.00 plus of course the call out fees. Do me a favour approx. 50% of the original price, not acceptable. I would rather buy a new fridge and certainly not an AEG if this the future expectation, especially this level of profiteering, daylight. Must say very disappointing for what is a quality product!!!
