APLLE DOES NOT CARE - I am disgusted

Electronics and household app.

I have an iPad 64 GB 3G and WiFi purchased in July 2011. For the past 6 months this unit is constantly reporting "no simcard" installed - however switch the unit off and then back on and it works again!

I had been to two iStores previously only to be told it is a known issue with the iPad I have and they would have to repair it. I CANNOT afford to be without my iPad - it is an integral part of my business that is utilized numerous times per day, I travel between South and East Africa a few times per month - it is not a nice to have but a necessary tool. And a good one at that.

It has now reached the point where no amount of resetting or anything is able to get the iPad to read my sim card. I went to the iStore in Melrose Arch today and spoke with the manager, Crystal Damons and explained my plight. I even offered to purchase a new iPad if they can assist me in some way on an exchange or return basis.

This was rejected, then to be told that my iPad is out of warranty, that repairs would cost over R 2000.00 and that there is nothing else they are prepared to do.

So Apple - you go all out to gain new customers, but you don't care about current customers?!?!
