SAMSUNG POOR PRODUCT QUALITY BECOMES YOUR PROBLEM

This is just a warning to everyone not to purchase either a Samsung S phone or Note tablet that uses the new USB port to charge!!!

I have both a Samsung Galaxy S2 and a Galaxy Note 10.1. In less than a year, the charging/usb ports on both devices have broken under normal use!!!

When you speak to the service centres, they recognise this as a weakness across the product range as the ports are 'sensitive', then they still smash you in excess of R700 to 'repair' what is essentially a product flaw. These ports should be far more robust as they have to endure multiple charges and connections to other devices on a daily basis.

It's akin to buying a car, then being told that the part of the car that has to endure the most wear and tear, the tyres, are 'sensitive' and often break under normal use before the warrantee is up. Then charging you to replace said tyres. The whole deal is a money spinning exercise for Samsung, because how can I prove that the product was looked after and used under normal circumstances, except for saying: "Look, no scratches! " I just have to accept whatever the service centre decides is normal use!

Appalling. I will not be purchasing another Samsung. Eve
