Apple South Africa
Selling Second-Hand Goods

Electronics and household app.

I took my first big step from PC to Apple a few weeks ago. I went into the Apple iStore in Vodaworld and purchased a MacBook Pro and various accessories up to the value of R30 000. When I got home and opened the Porsche 1 TB drive it was scratched and used with the incorrect cables and even when finding workable cables it did not work. I took it back to the store and an assistant indicated that the drive had been purchased in 2012 and intimated that I was acting in trying to replace it. The store manager, Youdi Govender, who had been out shopping returned and after heated discussion stated clearly that he refused to assist me. After much heated exchange and the involvement of the centre management he indicated that he would take it to his management. A follow-up email has shown that they are not prepared to address this issue at all and I have been saddled with second-hand rubbish from the store. A very sour introduction to Apple South Africa and I seriously advise anyone to stay clear of that particular store. Appalling management and customer service.
