Charged for repair: still not fixed

Electronics and household app.

I contacted Bosch regarding my 3 year old (just out of warranty) Wine Cooler which is freezing the wine. Their agent (Linden Appliances) came and the technician indicated that the electronics needed to be replaced. I agreed and this was done at a cost of almost R2, 000. This did not correct the fault. They came again and changed the settings which obviously did not make any difference.

They sent another technician (who was far more competent) and confirmed that the fault was not the boards but the temperature sensor. Within a day he contacted me and confirmed this but indicated that Bosch had informed him that the sensor could not be replaced.

I believe Bosch are a premium brand and will resolve this. However, I am still waiting for Linden Appliances (Mervyn) to advise me on what can be done. I have paid R2, 000 for replacement boards which were not faulty, and am left with a useless R20, 000 wine cooler. I would appreciate if Linden Appliances and Bosch could help to repair my cooler.

Even worse - now I have to drink all the wine in case it spoils...
