Total lack of interest

It seems as if I made a huge mistake by buying a Sony product as opposed to paying just a little extra and get much better quality and service with products like NAD. In fact the whole reason why I own a number of Sony products, is because I thought them superior to the Chinese and Taiwanese no-name brands. I have a Sony STR-DA1200ES amplifier, which cost a pretty penny, and is NOT old at all. I require a remote for this unit, and am being brushed off by all and sundry, with NO as an answer.

The question now simply is: "Am I dealing with a superior company, or with a disguised no-name brand. I left a message with Ingrid for Andre Joubert to return my call 2 weeks ago. I have tried all day today to speak to somebody at Sony that cares. I am surprised to discover a no care attitude from Sony South Africa and it's staff, not surprising as the CEO and his assistant obviously do not care. A pity, I thought Sony was better...
