Never buy a Samsung DVD Player!

I bought a Samsung home entertainment theatre nearly 6 months ago at Dion Wired. For the past few months every time i try to play my DVD's that I bought here in SA, they wont play.

The code name for my DVD player is MM-D530D

I went to Dion Wired to complain and the sales rep referred me to Samsung's call centre. I got an agent and her name is Pabi. She told me that its illegal to give me a code to allow me to play my DVD's.

How so? LG and Sony dont have this problem and its the manufactures fault because nothing was mentioned on the broucher I got when I bought this.
