I have a 3 year old son who was at the Smiley kids in Glen Marais. Three 8weeks ago on a Thursday I arrived at the school to find my son walking outside in the road with his bag, there was no teacher in sight. I ran inside demanding to know why my son was outside and to the shock of everyone, no one could answer me. The principal started yelling at the teacher who was at the door at the time. She apologised and told me that further action would be taken regarding the teacher. The teacher was then suspended, went for a disciplinary hearing and then fired. The following week. I went to fetch my son and found cleaning detergents on the table next to the water that kids drink, I was told that it was for that weeks teachings and that there was water in the bottles. Last week Friday my son was fetched by his father and there were drills and wood lying around. No one was supervising the equipment or the children. The children were running around this! The teacher was sleeping with her head on her arms on the desk.
I have taken my son out of the school and sent the head office an email, but as to date I have heard nothing.
I have asked for this months fees back as my son has not been there
