SICK OF THE INCOMPETENCE

I've had enough! For my final year of studies as a honours degree in psychology student, I was awaiting my marks up until 16 December 2012. One of the papers was a mini-dissertation which would count as a portfolio mark to finish the degree. Two months later I learn that Unisa gave me a 40% which is a fail for this dissertation as they cannot 'find' my paper and decided to give me my year mark in stead. I also learnt that they refuse to revise my paper and that the exam department stated they will not change my mark to the actual mark received - 65% and that I will just have to REDO the subject. THIS MEANS I STILL DON'T HAVE MY DEGREE and I have to pay R5000 for this subject again DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENCE. I've contacted lecturers, admin staff, the ombudsman of Unisa and no one feels the need to assist!!! How many students just get 'given' a mark due to their own incompetence. On 16 December my student record stated 'ABSENT FROM EXAM', then changed to 'NO RESULT AVAILABLE' then changed to 'FAIL'. Last message from lecturer stated that the mistake is an ADMIN one and that Prof Makhanya (vice-chancelor) needs to sign off and this may take a while. I'm sick of waiting!!!
