Forced to pay "reinstatement" fees, no explination

When I logged on to UNISA to check my Nov/Dec 2013 marks, I was denied them as there is an outstanding amount of R3208. This is not an amount I was aware was outstanding. The site refers to "Reinstatement" charges. I have been sending emails to various UNISA addresses asking for an explanation as to what these charges are a result of. ALL I WANT IS AN EXPLANATION. If it turns out I owe the money, then fine, but not one single email has been answered, some of them returned an automated response, but since last year, I have not heard a single thing out of the institution. I now find myself in the situation where I am forced to pay this amount as registration closes for the next semester on the 24th. This lackadaisical attitude I feel i am being met with is unacceptable, it shouldn't be so hard get a decent statement of account, but as far as I can tell, nobody has lifted a finger to assist me. I will continue to dispute this amount until i have either a decent answer or these "Reinstatement" charges removed. It is outrageous that I am going to have to source more than R3000 more than expected and UNISA cant even answer an email to say why. Disgusting.
