Varisty College's Journalism Diploma is a mess

I'm near the end of my last year of the Diploma in Journalism and it's such a mess I just want to drop out and forget about it, it's not like the diploma is worth anything in the first place.

The entire course has been full of errors, typos and mistakes. And you have to consider that the whole thing was poorly put together to start with, and now it's really rather outdated anyway. Our Internet Journalism module was written before the rise of Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and free blogging services. It has no relevance to the real world at all.

Our Media Law and Ethics lecturer spent an entire semester teaching us nothing, and then two weeks before the exam gave us a cheat-sheet. I brought this up with my HOD but it went no further.

Our broadcast journalism module requires us to create a video or radio broadcast (about 3 topics which are no longer public talking points) for, ha ha, you guessed it, 100% of our final grade. Varsity college has NONE of the equipment we need to do this so we're all doing it on smartphones. When in the industry will we need to do that? never. that's when.

I don't have the characters left to list all the other problems with this course. But it's a lot.
