Unisa
Application to study-Bachelor of Visual Arts 02224

Education & Science

Despite receiving the permission letter from the Department of Art History, Visual Arts and Musicology within two days... Making application to study at Unisa seems to be a challenge of a different kind leaving one feeling anxious and distressed due to the gross lack of interest, communication and skill

Previous completed studies through Unisa resulted in "student number issues" that the staff did not seem to understand or have the know-how to sort out. This prevented me from applying on-line. I was continuously told to apply as a returning student with the same number even though I advised them that the prompt I received on-line said that the current student number did not allow me for formal studies.

Once guided in the right direction application was finally submitted on the 10th of September 2013.

Upon enquiring telephonically on 1 October 2013 after no feedback received, I was advised that my application has been referred to AME for conditional exemption.

I am still none the wiser regarding payment of R450 for the exemption certificate despite writing to ame@unisa.ac.za

One can only wonder about the level of education given the state of administration
