Practica DOES NOT CARE

We acquired an unused, virtually new Practica set from an acquaintance who could not utilise it due to circumstances. We naturally assumed that we could rely on the accompanying support services, since the original owner did not utilise it.

On enquiry we were informed that the support programme was forfeited due to the transfer of ownership. No offer of support limited to the original commitment the programme was sold with, no offer of transferring at a nominal fee, in stead only a hostile response, comparing the programme to a school uniform (??).

We could understand that the programme dfistributors would wish to avoid perpetual support to multiple successive owners, but in this instance Practica enjoyed a net benefit from the transfer, managing to avoid the support service the programme was sold with all together.

Clearly a company wof low itegrity and others may well be advised to consider alternatives
