Unco-operative staff on faulty study material

I registered for a course with Intec in November 2012 for which I paid cash upfront. I am now half way through my course & have discovered the Pastel CD (study material) for my next module does not work. I emailed Intec 13.05.2013 with no reply from them. I then phoned 16.05.2013 (x2) only to be told I must at my own expense send them the faulty CD before they will send me a new working CD!!! I then received another email today 20.05.2013 from Tanya stating the same thing.
I am extremely livid at this response. The onus rests with Intec to ensure that I receive the correct material in good working order.

My suggestions to intect were: They send a courier to collect the faulty CD (at their cost), or
they send a new CD with a courier (at their cost) & on delivery I will provide them them with the faulty CD.

It is not ethical for Intect to expect me to now waste valuable study time waiting for them to receive THEIR FAULTY CD that they want me to send at MY COST only to then wait for their approval and a new CD!

And what happens when I run out of time to study due to their tactics? I think then REFUND WOULD BE IN ORDER!
