Dustless Floor Sanding provided a quote for our floors on 13 December 2013. I informed them that we accept the quote and on 18 December 2013 we agreed to the work will be done on 5 to 7 February 2014. I have this in writing.

During the last week of January 2014, Jason phoned me to confirm the dates. I was on holiday until 2 February and phoned him back on the Monday, leaving a voice mail to confirm the dates that we agreed. The next day he informs me that there their current job is taking longer than expected and we need to reschedule, which I can understand. However, he states my lack of returning his phone call immediately as the reason we need to reschedule. We agreed the dates nearly two months ago and I don't accept that it is my fault that the job needs rescheduling. He then took a nasty attitude over the phone and finally threw the fact that the deposit hasn't been paid (I haven't looked at the fine print in the quote in 2 months) in my face and put the phone down.

It's a pity as they seem to be able to do a good job, but I can't trust this big a job to someone so unprofessional.
