Her-annies
Her Annies - Bad attitude, selling damaged goods

Construction & Repair

I bought two Clock and Hands at Her Annies. This morning I fixed the clock to the back of the board. Then I attached the hands, the whole clock cracked in my hand and came apart. It was rather odd so I tried the second one, applied the same pressure to fix the last hand, it was fine. I thought that the first clock might have had a crack or something. I took it back with the slip to exchange it. Got to the tills and explained my situation. John van Zyl who I assume is the manager let me understand from the onset that he personally checked all the clocks and that it breaking was not possible. I also thought it odd how it broke, but the fact of the matter is it did. So he took my slip, asked me to write my name and number on it and said the supplier will phone me. No problem there. He then took the slip and broken clock into the back. He returned shortly after and said that the owner (Wallace Waldeck) also agree with him that it is impossible and they will not exchange it. John was clearly amused with the whole situation for some reason. He pushed the slip and broken clock across the counter and walked away. Clearly he thought it to be the end of the matter. Well I think not.
