R850 call out fee for no service

Phoned Electro/DrainSurgeon on Friday afternoon because the geyser was not producing any hot water. Explained that it might be a broken timer switch that needed to be bypassed. They sent a plumber who spent 10 mins on site and told us he can't do anything, they must rather send an electrician but none are available until Monday. Billed R850 for this. Eventually we found a respectable electrician who happily came out an fixed the problem (after hours on a Friday) for R400!!

Feel extremely ripped off that we had to pay R850 for nothing. It is not my fault that they sent a plumber instead of an electrician - they advertise as both DrainSurgeon and ElectroSurgeon and I did not request a plumber specifically, just explained that the geyser was not working. Avoid any of the Drain/Plumber/ElectroSurgeon branded outfits - they are expensive and do not resolve the problem and only seem interested in any excuse for the R850 call out.
