DEKKING ROB UNABLE TO DO THE JOB

Rob, from 'Dekking Rob was referred to me as the best dekking installer by Great North Timbers. He quoted for the job based on a site inspection and a detailed drawing or the requirmenets. After 1 week when the easy decking infrastructure was installed, he all of a sudden slowed down and started making excuses why he could not continue the more technical sections of the decking i.e. stairs, and pool box.
He gave me the run-around chasing me for materials and screws as he was adament that the screws everyone else uses will not and don't work. At the same time he kept asking for more money outside his contract terms which I fortunately didn't give him. Finally he just walked off site half way through completion saying the job is too much pressure.
On calling his references again to find a replacement, they then told me that he did the same to them. Don't risk it with Decking Rob, he is cheaper, but not by that much!
