Damaged materials

I bought a house in 2012/dec. Ihave started staying there in dec 2012.But suddenly the celling is starting to have holes on it each and every room of the house. It seems to me that they have used a damged celling, they have just painted it to hide the holes. I am not even having a year staying in that house. I wonder wha will the house look like after 20 years. I believe ths is not the matter of my insurance to fix, however the materials were faulty from the bigining.
