Faulty products

Did a job regarding a urinal Flushmaster junior j.6000 (water just started running out prior to it working perfectly for 6 years). Went to Plumblink in milnerton and purchased a new cartridge. New cartridge was installed but did not work. I then took the product back and the salesman supplied me with a new one and I repeated the process and made 100% sure it was the correct product (which it was). It still did not work. I then removed the the flushmaster and got a new one at the same store. Same thing happened I took it back and replaced. Same thing AGAIN. I then phoned customer services and the rep came out (hugo). He confirmed that the product had a manufacturing fault and replaced the cartridge (of the brand new product!) The next day the product failed again. Phoned Hugo again whom replaced the cartridge again and it finally worked. I feel i need compensation due to hours wasted (5 wasted hours). Petrol for driving around, phone calls, an unhappy customer who had to wait for 4 days (and who may not contact me again). Not to mention the stress and inconveniance! The rep felt the products were "over machined"! I lodged a complaint on cobra website but was not contacted. UNHAPPY!
