Does not arrive and blames customers!

Construction & Repair

My home needed painting. My landlord gave my details to David to book for him to measure for a quote.
Arranged for 5pm & by 6pm David had still not arrived.
David mailed me this morning. After me asking why he didn't call me if he was really there, I received this:
DL: We shouldn't have to make unnecessary phone calls if someone would just answer the door bell as arranged. Unfortunately you have wasted my time.
ME: David, I do not appreciate your tone, considering I'm the customer and was not disrespectful toward you. Wesley made a point of leaving work early to make sure that he was there on time. Furthermore, after the door "not being answered" you could have called and the situation could have been cleared up right away. Your people skills and customer service needs some attention.
DL: The tone that you speak of is all relative to how guilty you are! I don't run after people who cannot be on time. Let it also be know that you are NOT the client but a third party who was unprofessional enough not to pitch not only for me but for *landlord* who knows that I am always punctual and on time. I suggest you re-schedule and make sure you are punctual. I am running a business not a circus.
