Octo Pools
Poor service! Repair incomplete!

I was referred to Octo Pools to repair the solar heating for my pool. The reason I needed to undertake this repair is that my pool had been leaking water quite excessively for about 6 weeks& the first step is to attend to the Solar Heating. The owner, Danie came out with his 2 assistants & identified the problem as being the "headers" that run on top of the solar panels. Each header would cost about R600 and he would see if he had some. He came out and replaced 3 headers plus labour costing R2175 which I paid in full. He guarenteed me that the rest of the solar system had been fully examined and was in perfect running order. The pool however, was still leaking. The leak detectors at R1200 then had to come in & found that the solar was completely faulty. I then contacted a dedicated Solar company who came out & told me it is impossible to replace these panels as some of the rubber is shredded and had to replace the entire system at a cost of R5250. I contacted Danie of Octo pools to see if he would take his headers back & partially refund me. He refused, his attitude was not customer friendly. His repair was incomplete & he should take some responsibility.
