NO TAX INVOICE

Our electrical board in our kitchen needed wiring urgently. We battled to find an electrician at short notice and found them on the Internet. They wanted R35 360.50, which I felt was high. They also insisted on a 75% deposit. As we were desperate we paid the 75%. They wanted the balance before they had even completed the job! I couldn't pay it as there was NO POWER!! Once the electricity was restored, the balance owing was paid! We have battled since Feb. 1st to get a proper Tax Invoice, listing all the costs involved, including the labour costs. They are insisting that we use their scribbled service report as a Tax Invoice. We have called and emailed them on numerous occasions. We can't get them to tell us where they operate from. Why are they not able to give us a full, itemised invoice? I have lodged a complaint with SARS as they are VAT registered, as I feel we were overcharged and they are not able to justify the amount that they charged. I am warning the public to be very wary when you are desperate for work to be done.
